Our Services: One Team From Claim to Rebuild

Michaelson & Messinger Insurance Specialists does three things, and does them together. We adjust insurance claims for property owners, we restore fire and water damaged buildings, and we remodel homes and commercial spaces. Most companies do one of these. We have done all three from our Hinsdale office since 2006, and our management team brings more than sixty years of combined experience adjusting claims in Illinois.

The reason this matters is simple. When the adjuster and the contractor work for the same company, the estimate that your settlement is based upon, is the same estimate that rebuilds your house. Nothing is lost between the two. No contractor tells you the settlement is too low after the adjuster has already closed the file.

Adjusting Services

Our licensed Illinois public adjusters represent you, the policyholder, not the insurance company. We document the loss, read your policy for every coverage that applies, prepare the estimate, and negotiate the settlement. We handle fire, water, weather, theft and vandalism, contents, business interruption, and the tax and demolition paperwork that follows a total loss.

Restoration Services

Our own crews perform the emergency work and the rebuild. Board up, water removal, demolition, drying, structural repair, and full reconstruction of homes and commercial buildings after fire, water, and storm damage. We pull the permits, pass the inspections, and stand behind the work with a written warranty.

Remodeling

Many clients use a rebuild as the opportunity to update a kitchen, add a bathroom, or finish a basement. Others hire us with no insurance claim at all to simply remodel. We are a full service construction company licensed for residential and commercial remodeling across the western and southwest suburbs and Chicago.

24 Hour Emergency Services

Fire and water do not wait for business hours. We answer the phone around the clock and send crews for board up, roof tarping, water extraction, temporary heat and power, and winterization of plumbing.
